About
Pape Samb is a distinguished social entrepreneur with more than 20 years of experience in international development, youth and women’s livelihoods, and social innovation. He is committed to empowering underserved communities, particularly young people and women, through education and access to resources.
He has served as Global Vice President and Managing Director of Ashoka Africa. He is a General Partner of SENEGEL and an adjunct professor at American University, where he teaches leadership and entrepreneurship. He founded and chairs the Global Youth Innovators Network (GYIN), connecting more than 6,000 young leaders and entrepreneurs across nearly 100 countries.
He has contributed to educational programs and trained thousands of African entrepreneurs. He has raised more than $20 million for various organizations and worked across nearly 100 countries. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Science in Executive Leadership and Public Administration from American University. He is fluent in English, French, and Wolof, with conversational skills in Spanish and other West African languages.
