COUMBA GUEYE

Coumba Gueye is a committed young woman from Saint-Louis, Senegal. A trained executive assistant by profession, she became involved in the socio-educational sector early on as a community educator and youth facilitator, driven by a strong passion for early childhood development. Her work is deeply rooted in advocating for the rights of children and girls, leading her to become an active campaigner in various local and regional initiatives. As the youth coordinator for the Saint-Louis Humanist Movement association, Coumba stands out for her dynamism and dedication to young people. She also serves as the Saint-Louis focal point for BudgIT, an organization dedicated to budget transparency and civic engagement. In her various roles, she works as a program officer at Indigo 2 and as a safeguarding officer for the Regional Forum of Child and Youth Leaders in Saint-Louis, where she strives to ensure the protection and well-being of young people. Her civic engagement has also led her to serve as an ambassador for COMDEV Africa’s Agi-Re Youth Lab program, an initiative focused on training and mobilizing young people for community development. At the intersection of education, civic engagement, and human rights advocacy, Coumba Gueye embodies a Senegalese youth that is active, socially conscious, and resolutely committed to social change.
